“Intensive Online Education Term” for 2019-2020 Spring Term and the Update on the Current Academic Calendar - 3
Dear Students,
At our University, online distance education process for 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Semester started on May 23, 2020; thereafter, in the meeting of The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) on May 11, 2020, it was decided that final exams as well as other exams of this year are to be administered online.
In this respect, in addition to the previous updates on the Academic Calendar regarding our ongoing online education process for 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Term, a need arose to create an additional calendar for “Intensive Online Education Term”.
After the studies carried out on the issue, the Academic Calendar created for “Intensive Online Education Term” and other updates previously provided on the Calendar were rearranged as follows.

(1) Submissions of Exam Grades during “Intensive Online Education Term”
a. The course grades that have not been submitted during the grade submission period of "Online Education Term" will be displayed as the Incomplete (I) grade on the system.
b. During the “Intensive Online Education Term” grading, the Incomplete (I) grades will be updated by the instructors and converted into letter grades.
c. For the courses to be completed in the “Intensive Online Education Term”, before the submission of the grades by the instructors, the grades will be displayed on the system as Incomplete (I) grades.
d. For the courses to be completed in the “Intensive Online Education Term”, following the submission of the grades by the instructors, the students will be able to see their letter grades on the system. Hence, for the “Intensive Online Education Term” there will be no extra grade submission and announcement dates.
