  • Scores obtained on METU EPE are rounded off as follows::
    • 59.50=60
    • 64.50=65
    • 69.50=70
    • 74.50=75
    • 84.50=85 (excluding ENG 101 exemption)
    • 89.50=90

 

  • METU EPE: METU English Proficiency Exam
  • TOEFL IBT: Test of English as a Foreign Language, Internet-based 
  • IELTS: International English Language Testing System - Academic Version (Average of four components)
  • PTE ACADEMIC: Pearson Test of English, Academic Version

1. The scores obtained from exams indicated on the equivalence table are valid for 2 years.

2. TOEFL PBT and TWE are no longer administered. The submitted valid scores are to be evaluated by the School of Foreign Languages.

3. The minimum English proficiency requirement may be raised by the concerned Graduate School / Program for graduate student admissions. Please check the announcements made by the graduate school.
