Dear students,

As known, the 2019-2020 graduation ceremony which had been originally scheduled for 28 June 2020 could not be held due to COVID-19 Pandemic. This necessitated a new arrangement for our students to be able to receive their diplomas. In this sense, considering the circumstances, it was decided that students would receive their diplomas from their own Department Offices rather than one single center.

Detailed information regarding the diploma distribution process is provided below:

In 2019-2020 Spring Semester grade system, students were provided with the opportunity to prefer either letter grade or pass/fail grade for their courses with credits and two different time periods were specified for this preference application to be completed. On this basis, diplomas will be submitted to the Department Offices by the Registrar’s Office at two different time periods.

The “Distance Education” grades of 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Semester were announced on 08 July 2020 and the process for the preference of either letter grade or pass/fail grade for this semester which was between 13-17 July 2020 was completed. The students who graduated at the end of this process and completed their registration withdrawal and the ones who graduated at the end of 2019-2020 Fall Semester will be able to receive their diplomas from their Department Offices as of 28 July 2020.

2019-2020 Spring Semester “Intensive Distance Education Term” grades will be announced on 04 August 2020 and the students who have not completed their preference application yet will make their choice regarding letter grade or pass/fail grade between 06-09 August 2020. At the end of this process, students who graduate and complete registration withdrawal will receive their diplomas from their Department Offices as of 18 August 2020.

Students will have to sign to be able to receive their diplomas and the process will be carried out by the Department Offices.

Our graduates who have deserved to get their diplomas at the end of the “Distance Education Term” are supposed to complete registration withdrawal from OIBS program number 269 before 28 July 2020 whereas the students who will receive their diplomas at the end of “Intensive Distance Education Term” are expected to complete registration withdrawal from OIBS program number 269 before 18 August 2020.

The students who will graduate after “Distance Education Summer School” will receive their diplomas from Registrar’s Office.

We would like to congratulate our graduates and wish them all continued success.
