Applicants who have applied to benefit from Provisional Article 85 added to the Higher Education Law No. 2547 by Article 14 of Law No. 7592, which entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette No. 33335 dated 9 August 2026, and whose applications have been approved by the Registrar’s Office after meeting the legal requirements, shall undergo adaptation procedures carried out by the relevant Department/Graduate Program/Vocational School. Students whose adaptations have been approved by the Faculty/Graduate School/Vocational School Administrative Board are required to complete their semester registration through the system during the interactive registration dates specified in the Academic Calendar. The user code and password obtained through the amnesty application are not valid.
Students must complete the user code and password process between the dates below.

Students who will start their education in the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year Fall Semester;
18 - 24 September 2026.

Students who will start their education in the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year Spring Semester;

The user code and the password determined during the amnesty application are invalid.

Students who canceled their registration with the university within the last six months and forgot their password should visit https://useraccount.metu.edu.tr/ to update it.

Students whose user account has been deleted (students who canceled their registration more than six months ago) have to get a new user code by visiting https://useraccount.metu.edu.tr/newstudent

Students who are placed at METU by ÖSYM and students who got acceptance to graduate programs but are not registered to the university are supposed to get a user code and password by visiting https://useraccount.metu.edu.tr/newstudent
Students must complete the user code and password process between the dates mentioned to pay the tuition fee and attend the interactive registration.
STUDENT ID CARD
After receiving the user code and password, students are supposed to apply for the student id card from htttp://cardinfo.metu.edu.tr/ . Students will not pay any money for their first application. Detailed information can be found at http://oidb2.metu.edu.tr/en/student-id-cards.
