Dear Students,
Course registration for the 2026-2027 Academic Year Fall Semester will be carried out online through the system. Accordingly, a "Request Registration Approval" button has been added to the interactive registration interface. During registration for the relevant semester, after adding the courses they wish to take and completing the course selection process, students will press this button to ensure that their registration information is forwarded to the Advisor Approval Program. Students who do not submit a request for advisor approval using the "Request Registration Approval" button will not be able to obtain advisor approval.
First-year, first-semester students starting undergraduate programs in the 2026-2027 Academic Year Fall Semester will not require advisor approval. (Excluding students admitted through horizontal transfer or amnesty, and students on leave.) The compulsory courses in the curricula of our first-year, first-semester students will be assigned automatically. If there are any compulsory courses that have not been added, students will be able to add these courses themselves. Students will not be able to drop compulsory courses that were automatically assigned by the system or that they added themselves. If the curriculum for the relevant semester includes courses in any category other than compulsory courses, students will be able to add these course(s) and drop them if they wish.
Advisors will be able to view students with registration approval requests using the Advisor Approval Program and grant registration approval without requiring the student's password. After approval, the system will automatically send the student an e-mail stating "Your registration has been approved."
If an advisor wishes to contact a student with an approval request regarding registration procedures, they will be able to send the student an e-mail with the subject "Registration Approval Correction Procedure" using the "Correction Request" button in the Advisor Approval Program interface. In this way, the student will be able to make the necessary changes and resend an approval request to their advisor through the interactive registration program. At the end of this process, the student will have completed the registration and advisor approval procedures online.
Students are required to carry out the processes related to course registration and registration approval in communication with their advisors. It is of great importance that particular attention be paid to this matter to ensure that no problems or grievances arise during the process. Students must make sure that the "Your registration has been approved" e-mail reaches them within the registration approval period.
Interactive registration will be carried out at https://register.metu.edu.tr/.
On the first day of interactive registration, the advisor approval program opens at 10:00. Before entering registration, students must contact their advisors regarding the courses they will take.
If a change needs to be made after advisor approval has been obtained during the registration or add-drop period, you must contact your advisor to have the advisor approval removed, and after making the changes in the registration program, obtain advisor approval again.
On the first day of interactive registration, students will enter registration in stages. The times at which the registration program will open for each class year are listed below.
